Ag Production Company was established in 1987 to meet central valley growers' pest control and fertility needs. In the company's infancy, corporate President Kent Johnson emphasized certain qualities essential to the success of an agribusiness: excellent advisors (PCA's); strong purchasing power; and fertilizer capacity and versatility.

Here at AgPro, we support our sales staff's effort to assist customers. Situated on rail with large onsite capacity, we are positioned to have products available to customers when needed. Located just west of Turlock, AgPro shares a 30 acre site with its sister company Chemurgic Agricultural Chemicals Inc. Our site has nearly one half mile of resurfaced rail serviced by the Union Pacific Railroad. By rail alone, we receive upwards of 40,000 tons of commercial fertilizer each year for sales or distribution. On site, we have 9,000 tons of dry storage and 1.5 million gallons of liquid storage, as well as two liquid mix plants and a dry bulk blender. This allows us to manufacture for specific prescriptive recommendations based on individual field needs. In addition to our bulk storage, we have 30,000 square feet of warehouse space for crop protection products, production raw materials, and packaged micronutrients.

In 2004, Ag Production Company became a member (owner) of Independent Agribusiness Professionals, a national buying group that collectively purchases 20% of the nation's commercial fertilizer and crop protection chemicals. Together with our rail and vast storage capacity, AgPro has significant purchasing clout.
